Accessing your Zoom Room in Canvas is simple. Zoom is integrated into Canvas, which means that once you log in to Canvas (as long as you have activated your zoom account), your rooms will appear for you and you will be able to log in using your MyCIT Google accounts.



Log into Canvas at https://cit.instructure.com.

To access your zoom classroom, click into your module in the dashboard. Once in your module, access the "Zoom" item in the left-hand module menu.

Your zoom rooms will be displayed in the area to the right. To join a meeting, simply click the "Join" button to the right next to the weekly slot for your class.



Downloading the Meeting Client:

To participate in your online classes, you need to download the Zoom meeting client. You will only have to do this once. You will be prompted to do this when joining a class for the first time. Joining and Logging in to an Online Class:

When you click "Join" next to your timetabled class in Canvas, the Zoom Cloud Meetings client should launch. 

In the login screen, choose the "Login using Google option" and use your MYCIT email address and password



Note: Most online classes will not allow you to enter until the Lecturer has started the class.
